Ceremony on Zoom!!
ZOOMでの、インターナショナルディズ、オープニングの始まりです！
We talked about China, the flag of China, and how to say a few greetings in Chinese! The children’s pronunciation was really good! まずは、中国！中国の国旗を見ながら、中国語の挨拶をしました。子ども達の中国語の発音、なかなか上手なものでしたよ！
Even through online Zoom, it was fun
learning about each country together. The children quickly mastered how to say “hello”
and “see you later” in Thai! オンラインではありますが、画面を通して一緒にその国々の事を学べるのが楽しかったです。子ども達は、タイ語での「こんにちは」「またね」の挨拶をマスターするのも早かったです！
The children shared Japanese things they
have at home. Learning about our own culture is important, too! Every three
years, for International Days, we focus a bit more on Japan. What a great way
for the teachers and children to learn together! 年長では、オープニングセレモニーの残りの時間を使って、子ども達の家にある、「日本」のものを探しておいてもらい、Zoomを通して共有しました。自国の事を学び、知ることは、とても大切です。3年に一度は、インターナショナルディズで日本をテーマに活動しています。保育者と子ども達が一緒に学び合えるのって素敵ですね！
Every child shared different and
interesting things about Japan…decorations, games, food, clothing, traditions…celebrating the beauty of Japanese culture was both
heartwarming and fun! それぞれの子ども達が様々な、そして、興味深い日本のものを見せてくれました！日本の正月飾り・おもちゃ、食べ物、服、伝統的なもの・・・。日本文化の美しさをたたえることは、心温まる楽しいものでした！
The children really enjoyed helping the English teachers with their Japanese pronunciation! The teachers enjoy learning about different countries, too!
英語サイドの保育者が日本語の挨拶をすると、子ども達はとても嬉しそうに（誇らしげに）、発音の仕方のお手伝いをしてくれました！ 私たち保育者も、違う国について学ぶことがとても楽しいです！
We sang our International Days song “We Love All the Little Children”, in English and in Japanese!インターナショナルディズの今年の歌、「We Love All the Little Children」を英語・日本語で歌いました！
The children used English and Japanese when
talking about their Japanese items! They really are becoming citizens of the
world! 家にあった日本の物を発表する際には、英語と日本語の両言語で一生懸命説明してくれました。子ども達は、着実に世界の中の一員になってきています！
Japanese culture really is amazing! 熊手を紹介してくれた、お友だち。日本文化って本当に魅力的ですね！
