We arrived after a fun bus ride and took a class photo together outside the Farm Shop.
We went to the rest area to try the famous
ice cream freshly made from the cows on the farm. It was the best we’d ever
tasted.
Next it was time to see the animals. We saw many goats. They were interested in us and scratched up again the fence and wanted to say hello.
Then it was time to see the stable animals, sheep, bulls, and then the dairy cow who we said “thank you” to for giving us the milk to make our lovely ice creams we had just eaten.
Then it was onto the rabbit area. Some had
‘long ears’ some had ‘short ears’, some were ‘black’ some ‘white’ some ‘brown’.
We practiced our vocabulary as we looked at them.
After that hand washing and lunch in the
relative cool. It was good to relax and eat a packed lunch together. “I have
sausages”, “It’s yummy”; “open please” helping many friends with jelly packets.
It was then time to return to the bus for
our ride back. Some friends were very sleepy, others were still full of energy
playing “rock paper scissors, one, two, three” on the return journey.
