In K3 we have insects for groups names and have investigated more about what insects we can find in our environment.
We decided to make Diorama to get more excited about being together in with our groups.
First we watched video footage of each type
of insect to observe what they look like, where they live and how they move.
Next we painted our clay paying attention to the true colours of our insects.
Then we thought about the habitat and used various materials to make a home for the insect to live in.
Children learned a lot about local flora
and fauna as well as developing their fine motor skills crafting. They can now
tell you in English, how many legs all insects have as well as naming various
parts.
